Eames Fiberglass Chair
Being one of the most iconic chairs of 20th-century design, the Eames Plastic Chair is now back in its original fiberglass version. After having been away from the market for several years due to environmental issues, the fiberglass shell now returns through a more environmentally friendly production process and presents the same aesthetic appeal of the chair launched in 1950 by Charles & Ray Eames.
Launched in Milan last week, the renewed Eames Fiberglass Chair was one of the great novelties of Vitra's stand at Salone Internazionale del Mobile.
Giving great importance to the shape, color and tactile aspect of the objects they designed, the Eames couple found in this chair the perfect medium to convey their ideas of simplicity, comfort and aesthetics. The Eames Fiberglass Chair is now available in six shades that accentuate the organic shape of the chair's beautiful shell. From the soft Parchment 01 and the classic Navy Blue 02 to the vintage Red Orange 03, the relaunched Vitra chair will surely become one of the favorite pieces for office projects, public spaces and private homes.
Available from October 2018.
