Cork Family

Cork is a typical Portuguese material, and designer Jasper Morrison has transformed it into one of Vitra's most appealing and original collections: the Cork Family. Comprising five different stools, the collection has been used in several Vector Mais projects, such as the Novo Nordisk office.

The small stools, which can also be used as side tables, bring nature to the work environment with the cork's unique texture, touch and colour. Extremely robust and light, the benches are produced with Portuguese cork, a material that can be harvested from cork oaks every nine years.

In the Novo Nordisk project, Cork benches were used in several spaces, from the cafeteria to the lounges, combining design with a Portuguese feel, a central element in the Danish pharmaceutical company's project.
