Syensqo

General Contractor — Vector Mais
Project — Syensqo
Size — 1.600 m²
Location — Lisbon

Located on the 4th floor of the IDB building in Lisbon, the interior of Syensqo's global business services (GBS) center was recently built by Vector Mais. With a generous ceiling height and a spacious layout, the space is divided into three main areas: the open space, located next to the facade to take advantage of the abundant natural light; the meeting rooms, situated further inside for privacy; and the meet & greet, a space where all employees of the multinational company can take a break.

Challenged to build a project designed by the Belgian company's internal team, Vector Mais shaped an office conceived to foster creativity, innovation, and new ways of working. Standout features of this build include the ceilings with exposed technical installations, the wooden panels and carpentry, as well as the intelligent use of acoustic solutions.

“Vector Mais has positioned itself for a few decades as Syensqo's preferred partner (initially as Solvay) in the construction and renovation of our offices in Portugal. This project was no exception to the rule and was once again a success. We would like to highlight the professionalism and the constant desire to do better throughout the entire duration of the project. The execution was always followed closely by the team responsible for coordination; a great openness to dialogue allowed us to overcome all the adversities encountered during the construction.”

What is the importance of this new office?
The GBS (Global Business Services) in Lisbon was the final piece of a set of 3 offices that provide services to the group worldwide. The move to this office allowed the creation of a new space with the “Syensqo” identity for the GBS, while simultaneously providing a collaborative workspace in line with the group's most recent offices.

And how is it influencing your way of working?
Similar to other Syensqo offices, the design followed our guidelines and ratios in terms of space organization, featuring three distinct workspaces (Collaboration, In Between, and Focus). These allow employees to find the environment that best suits their specific daily work needs, alongside different types of meeting rooms to ensure the necessary comfort and privacy for work meetings, and a break area that supports downtime and also accommodates small informal meetings and town halls.

With this new office, we are enhancing collaboration and providing new communication technologies to our employees, thus creating a workspace that serves both local use and facilitates contact with all external partners of this unit.

“This was yet another project completed with a long-standing client, in a collaboration marked by trust and teamwork. The concept was developed by the client, and Vector Mais ensured the execution of the project and construction, shaping an office characterized by the company's identity, reflecting the solidity and continuity of this partnership.”
