After more than three decades in Lapa, Lusitania relocated its headquarters to the modern Niña Building on 5 de Outubro Avenue, following a full fit-out carried out by Vector Mais, which simultaneously refurbished the property’s common areas. Spread across eight office floors and a spacious dining area on the ground floor, the intervention completely redefined the workplace experience, creating spaces that foster creativity, collaboration, and the integration of hybrid working models, in line with current trends in flexibility and employee well-being.
With capacity to accommodate more than 270 employees, the new headquarters combines Lusitania’s corporate identity with a functional, comfortable, and visually striking environment in which natural materials take center stage. Wood, featured in the flooring, joinery, partitions, and slatted ceilings, introduces a warm and sensory touch. Meanwhile, the sculpted ceilings with exposed technical installations (some painted in Lusitania orange) lend an industrial and contemporary character to the work, lounge, and collaboration areas.
On the ground floor, the dining area further strengthens the project’s focus on social interaction. This generous space integrates multiple dining zones and even a foosball room, offering a relaxed and multifunctional setting. Terrazzo flooring guides users along a pathway dominated by wood and biophilic elements, reinforcing a sense of comfort and connection to nature.
“Vector Mais was a key partner throughout the entire process. The company demonstrated a high level of rigor in both planning and execution, ensuring compliance with deadlines and the defined plan. Its coordination capabilities, attention to detail, and willingness to develop joint solutions contributed to a delivery aligned with Lusitania’s expectations.”

What is the significance of the headquarters relocation?
The relocation of the headquarters represents far more than a simple physical move — it is a strategic milestone for Lusitania and Lusitania Vida. With the transfer to the new building on 5 de Outubro Avenue, we have strengthened our proximity to clients and brokers while creating a modern, functional space designed to address the challenges of the insurance sector. It enables the centralization and integration of both companies’ operations, while offering employees improved working conditions, easier access, and a prime location. This environment fosters well-being, collaboration, and productivity, reflecting our ambition to innovate and deliver excellence in client service.
How was Lusitania’s corporate culture conveyed in the workspace?
Lusitania’s corporate culture — grounded in proximity, trust, and a strong client focus — was reflected in the workspace design through solutions that promote collaboration, well-being, and flexibility. Each area was conceived to embody the company’s values: open environments that encourage teamwork, dedicated focus zones for in-depth analysis, and circulation flows that connect teams and departments. The project materializes our identity as a modern insurer, people-oriented, innovation-driven, and committed to the continuous challenge of responding to clients’ needs.
“The project goes beyond simply renovating an office; it redefines how Lusitânia connects internally. Simple and flexible spaces were created, designed to support an organization in constant evolution and to strengthen proximity between teams. Every detail was conceived to embody the principles that distinguish Lusitânia, shaping an environment that actively supports the company’s progress.”

What was Lusitânia’s brief, and how was it applied to the project?
Lusitânia’s brief was based on the need to accompany the company’s overall transformation, guided by three fundamental principles: Be Simple, Be Agile, and Be Close. These values called for organized, minimalist spaces capable of functioning in a practical and versatile way, while simultaneously fostering connections between people. In the project, these principles were implemented through a clear spatial organization, the creation of flexible areas designed to respond to different needs, and the integration of meeting zones that strengthen proximity and collaboration among employees.
Which environments stand out in the office?
The office features environments designed to enhance the employee experience: well-organized work areas with clear and functional layouts; well-being and social spaces that encourage interaction; safe and comfortable settings that reinforce trust in everyday work life; and spaces with a higher level of quality and detailing that elevate both performance and the company’s image. Together, these elements create a fluid, human-centered, and efficient workplace aligned with Lusitânia’s culture.
