Bubble Lamps

Lighting is an essential element in any office project, and Hay's Bubble collection has proven to be one of the most appealing to have in workspaces. Designed by George Nelson in 1952, the Bubble family was inspired by the delicacy of some Swedish silk lamps that the designer had seen at the time but whose prohibitive value led him to think of a more accessible solution.

After seeing a photograph of New York, in which the decks of ships were covered with a resinous plastic material, Nelson had found the solution to produce the Bubble lamps. The translucent characteristics and the texture of this material make the light reflected by the lamps soft and welcoming, essential elements to create a perfect atmosphere to work. In the Michael Page project in Lisbon, designed and built by Vector Mais, this collection was used in various spaces, complementing the comfortable atmosphere of the meeting rooms and cafeteria with its elegant and timeless silhouette.
